Here’s a little good news from the glossies, just for a change pace: W staffers are loving their new boss.

According to sources inside the magazine, Stefano Tonchi is “amazing” and those staying on are thrilled with what’s happening. “We’re being given new responsibilities–overall, the morale has improved exponentially,” says one source.

It’s unclear whether or not the those at the tippy top are as happy as the rest of the staff. Alex White, for instance, was said to have campaigned hard for Tonchi’s position. But we do know that the majority of the team is happier, which should make for an even more dynamic magazine. Putting John Hamm on the cover should help a little, too.
