As We Say A Fond Farewell to The Hills, A Look Back At Lauren Conrad’s Standout Style

Here’s a photo of Lauren from very early on in her career. While we loved her for being “the nice girl” and hoped she would prevail in the battle for Steven’s heart, her style fell a little flat. Her bleach-blonde hair and layered racer-back tank tops were typical of a beach girl – I should know, I come from a beach town myself – but we had higher expectations for the TV star. She’s even rocking dark roots and a mini-poof! Sorry, Snooki, we’re not into it. Luckily for us, Lauren’s style quickly evolved, and it’s all uphill from here.

love lauren conrad's personal style. people often call her a boring “basic” girl, but at least when she looks back on her own photos and pictures taken by the paps, she won't ever have to ask herself, “what was i thinking?” classic and put together!

The Hills definitely went downhill after her. Not like it was on any high ground to begin with but it just seemed to get more trashy when Kristen entered the picture.
You forgot her headbands. Long before Blair Waldorf, Lauren was the headband queen.

I definitely agree. Every time they showed Kristin walking anywhere I was wondering…what is she wearing? What happened to her curves? Why is she always in someone's face?
While Lauren always looked great, I never got the feeling that she was dressing up for the cameras. Definitely didn't feel the same way about the other girls.
I adore that Mullberry bag in the last picture. LC had great style on the show
