Everyone’s mad for Betty White. One Los Angeles-based apparel company is so mad for her, in fact, that it’s releasing a line inspired by the 88-year-old actress.

Betty’s involved, by the way: She’ll be getting paid a fee to allow the company, Jerry Leigh, to use her likeness. The limited edition line includes t-shirts as well as HoodieBuddies, a brand of hoodies that “feature machine washable earbuds and an input jack in the pocket.”

While we really wish the collection paid homage to Betty’s years as a Golden Girl, we still think it’s pretty fantastic. Especially since a portion of all proceeds will benefit the Morris Animal Foundation, an animal health organization. (Betty’s a trustee.)

Agreed. Especially since she had the most model-like figure.

What, you weren't in love with her enormous-shouldered-tunic/tapered-jersey-pant/pirate-boot combo? I was.

Also, Zbornak. Not Sbornak. Not to be a bitch or anything, I just really love her.

Oops…replied to the wrong gal. Hi Lauren.

As a gay man, yes Fashionista, I would have loved to have seen them homage to Rose.I got MAD LOVE for all the Golden Girls. Besides, Dorothy had some sickening fashion moments…..Is there a link and a price point for the merchandise? I'd be the envy of the gay community rocking a Betty White Tee.

Hold the phone, I adore the Golden Girls, however isn't Betty's face used similar to the classic Obey logo complete with knock off font a wee bit Adventure in Copyright???

WHY ARE CELEBRITIES LIKE BETTY WHITE “DESIGNING” “FASHION” LINES WHILE THOUSANDS OF UNKNOWN MCQUEENS AND KAWAKUBOS LANGUISH PENNILESS IN OBSCURITY!!!

Just kidding.

NOT KIDDING!

I agree with Peter…cuz I'm one of them!!!

LanguishingPenniless is going to be my new avatar…

I agree with you but Betty isn't designing this stuff. None of them are. I'm fairly certain a good portion of them have no idea how to work a sewing machine. But it's about power and influence. A investor is more likely to invest in a product that will appeal based on a celebrity's star power. So, yes, it is unfortunate but I see how it happens. In Betty's defense, though, she's just licensing her likeness.

hmm…funny….:))

Hmm.
I was thinking more Barbara Kruger than Shepherd Fairey, but I like the comparison :)

This is too funny, I already found so much clothing with Betty White's face on it online here.
