10. Hanneli Mustaparta
www.hanneli.com
Hanneli may be as well known for her personal style as she is for her photography, but believe us–her standing on this list is well earned. The former model just happens to rival her subjects when it comes to good outfits.

Why was my comment deleted? Mentioning my own street style photography, as well as commenting about Vanessa's great work was not off topic. I've seen plenty of other, much more “spammy” comments remain on fashionista.
It wasn't deleted–we are having some major issues with our commenting system, and because it's not hosted by us, they're taking a while to resolve. Feel free to post it again, and we apologize for the inconvenience!
Haha ok thanks! I was gonna say my my you guys are getting strict! : )
My comment that disqus ate:
I think Vanessa Jackman is my favorite out of all of these. Her photos are perfectly composed, with out being stale. And even when the subjects aren't smiling, the images radiate happiness. I've been shooting street style for a client, and it's really changed how I think about every day fashion. ( I've posted outtakes here: http://thegreyestghost.wordpress.com/category/o…) If anyone else is feeling like their style is a bit “stale”, I'd recommend either going out shooting images on their own, or spending a couple of hours walking around, concentrating on what other people are wearing. Not just the people who have style similar to your own. It's really changed my perspective, and made me more creative in how I get dressed!

Love that Vanessa was included, she is amazing and has such an eye for style. Hanneli and Garance are beyond amazing as well, and of course, Tommy Ton and Scott Schuman are such strongholds in the industry.

Yay, Vanessa!
ahh i totally saw Phil Oh when i was in the Tuileries last yea during fashion week, he was walking towards the tents with a impressive looking camera and I thought 'oh well he looks important.' Ashamed for not knowing who he was! haha. On a side note: loveeeeee Garance. Love. And Scott will always be King.
no Bryanboy??? hmmmmm
Isn't Maya from Turnedout based in NY? I see her on the streets all the time. Havent' you see http://boldonthestreet.blogspot.com ?
Thanks! Will def check out your blog!
ahem please fact check. yes, clearly maya lives in new york if you look at her site at all Lauren.
Cool! Thanks for deleting the crazy repeat comments too : )
I wouldn't classify Bryanboy as street style. I don't think he would himself, either.
Vanessa Jackman is my favourite. What's her story?
She's Aussie – was a lawyer and now a photographer. I am SO happy she is on this list :) She seems like a nice person through her photos if you know what I mean…

in the late 90s he got me! it was a spread in the new york times style section of people all wearing the same gaultier mesh shirt….i was proud
Agree with Nikki. Guerre takes such amazing photos and has such great commentary. The one thing I like about them is that it doesn't all seem like fashion paparazzi trying to find the well-known editors or bloggers. It never feels that way. Yet, it's so inspiring at the same time.
He's on our personal style bloggers list!
I love these blogs because they usually have great pictures and inspire me style-wise!
Facehunter and hanneli are among my top 5 too so I'm glad they made this list.
I would also love to see some streetstyle blogs based on south america because I think there are some real fashion-forward people here that deserve some pictures taken of them, especially in Buenos Aires. I believe Facehunter posted an album once from Bs.As. and it was great!

<3 thankss .:)
Facehunter actually has a section for street style sites and there are three for Buenos Aires. Only two of them work and onthecorner takes forever to load on my computer, but generally the fashion is great. I really like South American style, but more along the lines of BsAs, Bogota, or Santiago de Chile. Brazilians are a little too wild for me. I can't pull off bright colors.
You know, Bill Cunningham has lasted this long because he isn't always in your face. Who knows how long the current format of street style will last for? Now that we have a couple of Schuman's running around like headless chickens taking photographs it has become a whole circus. I really wish there was someone who geninuely wanted to work on Street Style and devote to it like a starving artist. Like Diane Arbus. These photographers including Todd Selby are attention seekers. Garance Dore is French yet I haven't actually since the real Paris, the real country. There is one thing more predicable than anything else is that Paris is also dirty city and is also gritty.
The biggest shame is that all of these photographer's self-interest appears one-dimensional. They really haven't asked themselves how my imagery and my approach is going to evolve itself. They haven't even differentiated themselves from each other. Why not experiment with b/w photographers or use 35mm's? I think the 'street style' genre is waning and then you get clueless Europeans publishing books about it.
I love the consistency of the Sartorialist–reliable posts means I check it more often. Love Garance's humor but Maya is my new fav.
also love swagger 360–he posts consistently and has quite the eye!
I love street style blogs, they are full of inspiration! In my case I started to take streetstyle pictures in Shanghai just for the fun and because it is a great way to practice my chinese ;)
if somebody wants to take a look at my pics here is my address! ahhh and of course my favorite will be always Garance! http://www.tardeotemprano.net/
I'm not familiar with all of these, but I can assure you all that Tommy Ton / Jak & Jil do not belong on anyone “street style” list.
Frustrated by your lack of variety. What happen to the African American street style bloggers like streetetiquette.com, which has been recognized and featured by publications like GQ Magazine.
I've never looked at that site, thanks for sharing. I have to admit that I didn't read all the writing, but the photos are really nice and I love that he (? Is the gent in a lot of the photos the writer?) puts an old photo at the end of each post
I LOVE streetetiquette, but I'd say they belong on the personal style list as they take pictures of themselves, not people they see on the street.
This is true guys the two gentleman of Street Etiquette should be in the personal style list they personify what it means with great writing, phenomenal photography, and neck breaking style. I never expect to see them on these type of sites though who only glorify blogs who swirl around and take photos of themselves in a asinine fashion.
The fashionista you can do better!
There is a fashion photography wonderful here.

My favorites are def Hanneli and Jak & Jil! They have the best eyes for picking the best people, I'm tired of all the “filler ” pictures that Scott and Garance stuff their blogs with.
That link under the photo to Mr. Newton's site contains trojans!
Thanks for listing these bloggers! I do hope you don’t mind this question but, how did you get this job? To write here. I was wondering if you have to be a certain age and or qualafacation to write for this site. What is the best place to write a blog on? Is it possible for me to get a job as a blogger here on fashonista? Are all thee bloggers here get to go to she the same fashion shows and partys hosted by fashion designers? And the last. Do they pay you to write here for fashionista? I do hope you answer back. Have a good day.
Thanks for compiling this list…I love many of these, and it’s great to learn about some others that I had never heard of. I’m an aspiring street style blogger myself, and these are great inspiration for me. Would love to get some feedback regarding my newish blog: http://eyespystylereport.blogspot.com/
