How to Make It in Fashion: June 21, Dream Hotel Downtown, New York

Ranking the Fall Ads, Part Two: From Balenciaga to Bulgari

12. Tommy Hilfiger

Tommy Hilfiger is restructuring its image into a quaint American brand, somewhere between J. Crew and Ralph Lauren. The ads look like a WASPy American get away where everyone is gorgeous and wearing coordinated outfits. It feels extremely forced, and out of touch. A campaign like this could have been a hit a couple of seasons ago, but nowadays it just feels stale.
