A look from Parsival Cserer's award-winning collection.

BERLIN–Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is making its twice-annual stop in Berlin, and one school that frequently pops up on local designers’ resumes is the city’s Weissensee Academy of Arts–the alma mater of creatives like c.neeon, Michael Sontag and Sam Frenzel.

Now, a new crop of graduates is gearing up to hit the scene. On Friday afternoon, one of the school’s final year students, Parsival Cserer, won German fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg’s prestigious Designer for Tomorrow award for his “Good Morning Miss Obama” collection, an ode to the First Lady translated into bright knit mini and maxi dresses and oversized cardigans.

A couple of hours later, Cserer’s classmates showed their graduate collections at See Fashion, Weissensee’s annual graduate show.

Hoping to spot some more noteworthy collections among the class of 2010, we took a closer look at the talent pool and talked to four promising students.

Another great story, and the subjects are well spotted. Kiesel, with her Bauhaus influence and strong background in tailoring and Kiraga with her “real woman” ethos are particularly interesting and seem to have well thought out ideas. Terrific to have some insight into emerging talent.

Bush IS A democratically elected president who will leave office. Hitler once he took power had no intentions of leaving, Hitler was a dictator, like stalin, like Saddam, how anyone in their right mind can compare this to the US is being childish
