A friend of mine quipped today “Is NC being charged for War Crimes? Because if she is it would explain why I've heard more about her hearing than the entire 4-year trial of Charles Taylor”. Exposed an interesting point, even if her statement is useless to prosecutors, her visibility is surely doing a lot to bring attention to all this. You and I wouldn't have thought to watch that documentary if it weren't for this Alaia courtroom frisson.
