Bird on Fashion’s Night Out
We love Brooklyn chainlet Bird, which has three locations in the borough. We also happen to love every restaurant they’ve brought on board for Fashion’s Night Out: Marlow & Sons, Diner, Prime Meats, Frankies, Vinegar Hill House, Roebling Tea Room, Saltie, Walter Foods, Aurora, Blue Ribbon, The Farm on Adderley, Mimi’s Hummus, Henry Public, Brooklyn Social, Sprout, One Girl Cookies and The Castello Plan. We like, can’t handle it.

“As much as I am interested in supporting local fashion designers, I am interested in promoting local food and food shops and all the amazing chefs that we are so lucky to have in Brooklyn!” says Mankins. “I know I would be almost as excited to win a gift certificate to Prime Meats as I would to have an exclusive United Bamboo bag and I think the same goes for most of my customers.”

Her favorite meals in Brooklyn? The cavatelli from Frankie’s Spuntino and the steak frites at Prime Meats. We can’t argue with her there. Although we’re also partial to the landjager at Prime Meats. Mostly because it’s fun to say landjager.
