In a way, they look like exactly what they are, Mulberry for Target. Vague ripoffs of French luxury houses constructed with poorer quality materials, so it’s not like we could’ve expected better, but the heart-shaped keychains are the clincher. We can at least expect tasteful styling, if not solid design. Did nobody else think that might be a misstep?
:( so disappointed!! wtf?? i was hoping for muted tones in canvas or something. not this tacky crap.
1. what’s with the studded heart charm? 2. i thought they weren’t going to use cheap vinyl? 3. that black one is the only saving grace but see #2 4. ugh i was so excited and now i don’t wanna buy any of ‘em
:( like everyone mentioned, I was hoping this was going to be like their collaboration with Gap, and be jersey cotton or canvas satchels. Why does Target do every freaking purse/shoe in that fake patent crap? Blah.
Had been anticipating this all week, had my credit card handy, the clock struck 12:00pm and….major disappointment. The quilted denim would have been cute except for the cheap-looking patent and the dangly heart junk. Was that really necessary? The black patent satchel looks cheap. I wasn’t expecting leather, but they could have done something in a faux leather, even if it meant a higher price point. These handbags were clearly designed for the junior set who want to play grown-up and the quality of the bags looks like it was last about as long as their attention span. Blech!
When patent is actually made of real leather, it looks good. When it is something that a cheap kitchen floor or a shower curtain would be made of, it’s tragic.
If this is the whole line, I’m completely disappointed. I’ve been waiting for this release since I heard about it months ago, and after today’s offerings on gilt.com, I don’t want any of them. So sad.
When to gilt.com and the Mulberry bags were disappointing to say the least. I’ve seen better detailing on bags from Nine West. Why in the world Target would use “always sold-out” gilt.com to distribute an early release on their bags I do not know. Huge mistake. At exactly 12:01pm everything was magically sold out, right? right! Waste of my time! Tired of getting sucked into Target’s Designer Collabs that result in quality similar to Forever 21! Heck, some of Forever 21′s stuff is actually better then some of the crap they’ve allowed to be released.
I personally did not like the Mulberry line.. but i did like Tucker for Target. Within an hour a majority of the items from Tucker were sold out on gilt.
Within a hour, please that mess never showed up as being available from 12:01pm. By 12:20pm they had sold out on everything in every size. Who would know to keep hitting the refresh button, who has time for that. Bad move Target dealing with shady gilt.com!
A brand like Mulberry should have reconsidered when they decided to do something for Target. Their action is reminiscent of a celebrity brand trying to market itself at Walmart. Seriously, the designs are nothing exquisite and this move just ” cheapens” the original power house itself.
the black patent satchel is cute…but i’m not really a fan of any of them!
These look like bad Juicy Couture bags… and that’s saying a lot lol
very disappointed!
Hmmm. I don’t really love any of them. They look cheap. Too bad.
I don’t know what I expected of Mulberry for Target, but it wasn’t heart-shaped keychains attached to every bag. Disappointing.
i agree with everyone else. it looks like a line that someone’s little sister would buy from.
What a disappointment.

Mulberry is British, by the way. Just FYI :)
Yeesh… patent?!

color me not impressed. :(
Ew. This makes me sad, they should have used canvas or jersey. These are heinous.
agreed! def had my calendar marked for this but hopefully there’s some saving grace in the 3 that there are not photos for yet.

Insider tip from Gilt: There’s always a chance that items marked as “In Members’ Carts” will still be available to buy if you keep checking!
@ gray – who is going to go through all that for Target stuff, not me!

I think the denim bag is cute, I liked the heart trim. A good bag choice for vegetarians – celebrates non-leather!
