3) The upside down rose hat didn’t work with Heidi’s mom-shag, did it? At least now we know why she was wearing it a few months ago.
4) Did anyone else wrongly assume that Christopher’s dark taffeta would be in the top 3 and Michael C’s boring “goddess of the sea” dress would be panned? I no longer trust my own taste. I may have been watching this show for too long…
5) …although can I feel slightly vindicated that Philip Treacy also hated–even though the other judges loved it–Valerie’s dress and that hideous white shrug?
6) What is the Tim Gunn word of the week, you ask? It was not his most loquacious week, though you may use “precipice” if you’d like.
7) Why didn’t the judges appreciate April’s triple panty diaper look? Designer diapers are all the rage now, of course.
8) Did Kristin’s orchid hat-inspired dress have hot pink Kleenex coming out of the bustline?
9) At least Mondo is still keeping it real, yes? The model in moustache. The comment: “There are a million trillion fabrics and they all have voices.”
10) When is Casanova going home? I’m ready to take out a restraining order. He is creepy.

Cheryl, I love you more and more every 10 questions. Noone can take my Lauren’s place (I’m still smiling over that shout-out), or Britt (miss you, babe – let’s hope you still read here), but you’re becoming a favorite of mine. *smile*
Meanwhile….
1) Philip Treacy is not what I’d call a particularly handsome man, but his cool, calm (and very refined) demeanor was kind of a turn-on. I’d like to think he doesn’t really let too, too much get to him.
2) Ivy is……chile, I have no words. She’s like a mini-Gretchen but not. Initially, I liked her cuz she’s cute. But she’s annoying now, though.
3) My nephew was crying. I must have missed it. WHY is she wearing the mom-shag? Eh, whatever the reason, it’s unacceptable. Even in you’re Heidi Klum. No, ESPECIALLY if you’re Heidi Klum.
3.5) And no, that upside down rose just looked ridic.
4) HUNNIE!!!!!!!!!! Everyone sitting around the TV with me watching thought the very same thing! #appalled
5) Soooo, I’m not the only one who thought it was uninspired-looking and just….BLEH?
6) I smiled (and giggled a little) when I heard Tim use “precipice”. My heart jumped a bit…in a good way. I <3 Tim.

I was literally screaming at my tv screen. Mundo’s mustache outfit and that pink suit were just divine how did the judges favour Valeries white shrug over them.
Any of the “safe” designers were better than the top three selected by the judges. I want to love this show but the judging annoys me so much.
I gotta agree, the judging was waaaaaay off.
Did anyone else laugh at Ivy’s comparing herself to Gretchen? Ivy’s constantly on the precipice (haha!) between “boring” and “mess” and Gretchen is consistently good. I love everything she makes. Even though she’s annoying.
I was dead-set against that gold handkerchief dress Michael C made (although, I do agree it was a nice compliment to the color on the hat, but whatever, we all made color wheels in kindergarten) and I, like you, thought I was losing my reason when they loved it so much. I think we can feel secure in our tastes, though, because MK and HK also died for Valerie’s handkerchief dress with the exposed zip bolero. When I saw those 2 boring dresses (was there a third handkerchief?) walk, I was having premonitions of the wonderfully terrible things they were going to say about them. Could anything be less appropriate for the Treacy costumer than those jersey-looking mallrat dresses?
Christopher, as much as I love my boo, kinda deserved his critique on his taffeta vestcoat. It wasn’t hideous or terribly made, but I don’t think women really wear those vestcoat peplum beltey things, and yet I’ve seen what feels like dozens over the years on project runway (Which could be because it has no crotch, waistband, sleeves or collar, it’s a cop out.) I think Christopher is better than that, and I guess they do too.
I do love the extra behind-the-scenes footage this season with the new longer format, but I didn’t need to see footage of a very unconscious Ivy. That felt cheap.
Christopher’s coat was a bit heavy, but he may have gotten a better critique if his styling wasn’t so terrible. i knew he was in trouble when he said he was going to pair the putfit with thigh high boots. Ouch..ahoy matey…NOT
putfit?!! No more typing before coffee. Lol
Okay, sorry to join the conversation late, but I was on vacation last week. I couldn’t disagree more with the judges decisions, and I was generally disappointed with the looks for such a spectacular challenge. Mondo’s look was fantastic; it had an irreverent quality that is perfect for Treacy. Michael C’s dress wasn’t offensive, but it has certainly been done before, and the Grecian look absolutely did not go with that hat. Also, I think the color combination was off. Persimmon and bronze? Also, he could not be any worse at receiving praise. Really graceless. Valerie’s look was garbage, and any doubts that I had about my own taste level were banished when I heard Treacy criticize it.
Who makes the over the knee beige boots Gretchen’s model is wearing in Episode 3? After watching this episode I’ve been dying to know who makes the boots. I’ve been searching the internet and no results so if someone knows and could let me know that would be great! I was very confused this week,Michael C. WON? WTF,that dress was ugly and unflattering,Valerie’s was pretty,but boring and that vest was hideous,I did not get it.Heidi looked ridiculous,maybe if she had worn her hair pulled back in a bun she would have worked the hat.Christopher’s dress one word: beautiful,not the best styling but he shouldn’t have been in the bottom.I initially didn’t love Michael Drummond’s skirt ’til I saw it up close ,so stunning and the top was really cool as well,he or Christopher should have won,I honestly don’t know what the hell the judges were thinking because their judgment was waaaaaaaaay of.
