One of our Fashionista 15 designers to watch, Mandy Coon didn’t disappoint with her collection inspired by, true story, jellyfish. “While basking on the majestic beaches of Tulum, Mandy Coon reconnected with a childhood fascination with jellyfish,” her info sheet read. “These silent ghosts of the sea possess a unique duality, alluring us with their overwhelming beauty, while paralyzing us with fear.” Just like jellyfish, her pieces were billowy, tiered, with streaks of poisonous red amidst a mostly black collection.
