I remember the Cold War, American sitcoms would claim that Iron Curtain women were hefty socialist workhorses with moustaches to rival Stalin, more suited to hard-labour on the collective farms than swooshing down the runways.

I’m glad to see that the truth is actually the opposite: in theory the West may have won the Cold War, but because of capitalist diets and post-industrial lifestyles, American and English women have long since fallen behind their Eastern cousins.
