Another image from Lanvin for H&M is out, and the line continues to look promising. Yesterday we saw a range of black satiny numbers–dresses and tuxedo jackets–and today’s image shows bright floral print numbers.

Guccione gave Wintour her first job in the magazine industry in the late 1970′s when he hired her as the fashion editor of his adult magazine, Viva. {People}

LONDON–Last night in London’s Soho district, avant-garde concept store Machine-A hosted the launch of an exclusive knitwear collection from NewGen designer Craig Lawrence. Using black for the first time, he created metallic laddered biker shorts, crop-tops and fingerless gloves with the aim to design something quintessentially London.
Located in an old tailor’s shop in what remains of London’s minuscule fabric/garment district, Machine-A has raised more than a few eyebrows with its stable of edgy designers and their shop window exhibitions, the first of which involved a “life-size knitted masturbating man spurting over a pile of knitting magazines.”
Founder and creative director Stavros Karelis has gone beyond simply creating a platform for emerging designers by purchasing outright the majority of his stock and even funding the production of a handful of cash-strapped talents. Future plans include a 10 person workstation providing designers the tools and expertise required to produce their collections.
The party, spilling out onto Berwick St. included towering trannies in Craig Lawrence dresses dancing in the balloon-filled vitrines and was attended by The Guardian‘s Sarah Mower, wigged-and-bearded expat Andre J (fresh off a shoot with uber stylist Nicola Formichetti for Arena Homme for which he wore a gold Balmain gown) along with bloggers Susie Bubble and Yu Masui.

LONDON–A recent flood of fashion films is promising to bridge the velvet-roped gap between front-row editors and the glossy-buying populace while giving designers yet another medium through which to express and control their brands. At London’s City Arts & Music Project the public was invited to a S/S 11 Video Re-See of films by handful of London Fashion Week’s most promising young talents including knitwear designer Craig Lawrence, art deco printmaster Holly Fulton and Alice Dellal collaborator and jewelry designer Dominic Jones. Here are the highlights, as well a word with Craig Lawrence on being a fish out of water:

Victoria’s Secret, along with Angel Adriana Lima, hosted an intimate luncheon yesterday for fashion bloggers to showcase the $2 Million Bombshell Fantasy Bra that Lima will wear during next month’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion show.
The bra, designed by Damiani, is comprised of over 3000 white diamonds in an Old Hollywood-style star burst pattern set in 18 karat white gold. (If you can’t swing $2 million for a diamond encrusted bra, Victoria’s Secret is offering a Swarovski crystal version for just $250.)
“It’s very elegant and 1950′s–definitely my style,” Lima told us, also noting that this incarnation of the Bombshell Fantasy bra (which she has worn once before) was not “vulgar” and very comfortable.
Lima, who had a baby just last year, is not worried about her body being back in Angel shape (she was wearing a skin tight leather mini dress, and it was hard to believe a baby ever came out of that body), but she admits she still gets nervous before she walks.

LOS ANGELES–Avid Fashionista readers know that our love for Diane Kruger’s red carpet style knows no bounds. So we were delighted to attend an intimate seated lunch in the Palm Room at the Four Seasons Hotel in honor of Ms. Kruger and the new fragrance Calvin Klein Beauty. The actress/model is the face of the brand.
The lunch was really a double celebration. The night before, donning a bright pink Calvin Klein dress, Kruger was honored at the Elle’s Women in Hollywood Awards among such esteemed actresses like Diane Keaton, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson.
Beauty is Calvin Klein’s first floral fragrance and draws upon the scent of a calla lily. Translation: It’s light and feminine. Kruger says she truly loves the fragrance and took many months of consideration before signing onto the project, smelling samples and living with it for a while to see if she really liked it. She also loves the print ads, shot by Craig McDean. “I recognize myself in the portrait, but there’s a certain classiness to it that I really like.”
Wearing a purple cardigan belted over her navy Calvin Klein shift dress, Kruger spent a leisurely lunch with us and graciously answered all our beauty and fashion inquiries. Below are some of her current fashion favorites and beauty secrets:
What is your current favorite piece in your closet?
DK: Probably this cashmere blanket I have from Philip Lim. I’ve been using it a lot for travel and I love it.
Would you ever consider designing your own line or capsule collection?
No. Maybe one piece with Karl or someone I love, but I don’t think I would be a good designer.
Katie Grand is, by far, one of my all time favorite fashion heroes. Every time I work with her and for her I learn SO much. Not only is she one of the only editors that gives me the space and platform to do much of my favorite styling work, she gives me the opportunity to collaborate with the BEST people in the business. For that, I will forever be in Katie’s debt. When I worked for Katie at Pop magazine, she taught me what it means to be a fashion visionary and an incredible business woman. I’m not going to go into a long spiel here about her biography; I really wanted to chat with her specifically about styling. For this column, I will be conducting a series of interviews with people in different fashion roles who hire and work with stylists, or the iconic stylists themselves. Katie answered my questions with the honesty and humor that I always appreciate from her. I learned so much reading her answers, I hope you guys do too!
Here it goes….
SL: How long have you been styling? It began when you started Dazed & Confused with Rankin and Jefferson Hack in 1993, right?
KG: Yeah, I was at St Martins and met Rankin and Jefferson at a bar in the basement of the Trocadero called DNA and I started working on Dazed, initially folding magazines, and then my first story was a white t-shirt story, shot by a friend of mine, Gary, who was at St. Martins doing photography.
SL: What led you to styling versus doing another job in fashion, like design?

Considering the hype surrounding the “Lanvin loves H&M” collaboration line, which hits stores November 23rd, it’s only fitting that the highly anticipated looks be seen on a runway before they’re attacked in a fashion frenzy on the racks.
On November 18th, Lanvin will put on a runway show featuring Alber Elbaz’s line for the fast fashion retailer, WWD is reporting. (Hopefully the models walk with the same swagger as they did at Elbaz’s Spring 2011 show for Lanvin.) The show, to be held at the Pierre hotel in NYC, will also include a few customized looks that will be auctioned off for charity online.

Most people wait until their wedding day to don a $6,000 dress that can only be worn once, but not Suri Cruise, according to a report in In Touch. A Cruise rep swiftly denied the report (which did sound a little ridiculous), and even if it was true, Cruise would probably want to deny spending 6K on a Halloween costume in this economy. However, as Celebuzz points out, Tom did make about $22 million last year. So, $6,000 for a Halloween costume is really just peanuts. I mean, she has to outdo her costume from last year, which, of course, was also a princess. If the $6,000 costume does exist, perhaps it would look something like this?
