No apostrophe required in “macaroons”.

Speaking of macaroons….am I missing something? Are macaroons secretly awesome and I’m just not giving them credit? I feel like a disproportionate number of the street style ladies say macaroons are their favorite dessert, and I just don’t get it. Yes, they are tasty. But better than turtle sundaes? Chocolate brownies? Creme brulee? Apple pie?

Oh right. Fashion…I particularly like her bike!

I can’t stand macaroons. Or anything with coconut, really. Why can’t they ever say “Chocolate ice cream” or something normal like that?

Fashion – that dress is hideous and she needs her hair cut.

I think they mean Macarons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macaron

It’s part of this manic pixie dream girl/actually believing or convincingly pretending that sofia coppola movies are really good/ personal style blogger/my life is just like alice in wonderland/ lula magazine ideal that we are all meant to live up to or something…I suspect that we will pass out of this phase soon, once the fashionable girl on the street figures out what the proper favorite dessert for the Celine girl is, perhaps. Personally, I don’t care for sweets.

For the record, I really like Lula Magazine, and Sofia certainly makes a great bag, but I am still calling a spade a spade with the macaroon/ron absurdityl

The reference is to macarons, the French biscuit with a filling, not macaroons made out of coconut. I had never seen them around until the last couple of years when they have become really fashionable (outside of France). They come in pretty colors with luscious flavorings and are a new favourite – I want to try every kind.

thing is, they ask these girls quick questions, so they spit out the first thing that comes to mind. so a sweet is a sweet, whatever

I wish that were true, but it I am afraid it is a certainty that a girl wearing miu miu on a vintagey bike with a basket in lower manhattan has DEFINITELY thought about exactly what they would say if they were photographed by a street style blog.

what *she* would say, not *they*…sorry!

Let’s give her the benefit of doubt. I don’t think any of the other photogs would ask you what your favorite kind of dessert is.

I think other questions should be considered more than this generic one, depending on the subject.

ok, but only because I really do like the dress and the bike…

Well, I’m so glad I’m not the only one!

The only macaroon benefit other than being small and very portable is they are too dry to call a dessert. Am I missing something? http://www.1solswimwear.com

Yes. They are pretty to look at and when properly made, delicious.
