Crystal Renn eats meats in Vogue Paris’ October Issue, while Christina Hendricks eats diamonds in Harper’s Bazaar. Which high fashion snack shot by Terry Richardson do you prefer?

I have read some bad reviews of the Crystal Renn spread but I loved it. It was vivid and beautiful and provided a commentary as well. As gorgeous as Christa Hendricks is, her spread was boring and her body seemed photoshopped.

Christina hands down. She is classy and gorgeous. Too bad Terry shot her.

Diamonds over meat any day of the week!

Crystal Renn, Christina just looks like she constipated and “when will this be over” shoot. Do not like.

Evidently Terry Richardson can’t conceive of photographing a not-skinny woman without depicting her eating something.

ohhh very astute.

This whole meat trend has got to stop. With the exception of Helmut Newton’s Jerry Hall shoot later inspiring Clayton Cubitts Zink Spread. This whole trend is disgusting. And NOW its been DONE!!! Move on!

Terry Richardson is such an unimaginative hack. Hilarious that these two pictures point that out. Now if only the editors who hire him would get a clue.

The Crystal Renn one emphasizes vulgarity (reminds me a little of the Helmut Newton shot of a woman’s fat, trashily manicured fingers covered with oversize gemstones), the one of Hendricks looks furtive – if she is trying to ascertain if the diamonds are real the shot doesn’t make the point well. Almot all of the shots on his blog are glaringly obvious – there’s no subtlety, and although he tries, no humour. You are right – just a hack who got lucky.

I’ve seen better shots of both of them. And I literally think these photographers thought – “oh she’s over a size 4. Well she must be seen eating something!” Or at least that’s how it came off – ugh.

Christina and Crystal=Beautiful on and off camera. Just lose the meat.

Crystal/Christina (Still love me some Joan Harris) but French Vogue always does it real big.

I Prefer The Crystal Renn Issue, It’s Way More Modelesque.

Crystal Renn’s makes more of a statement and catches your eye to see something more unique. Christina Hendrick’s is too typical…I’ve seen it done much too often.

Crystal Renn’s is more raw and vibrant feel to it, in typical French Vogue style it shouts female sexuality of the page. I love it; absolutely stunning.
