Owner says: “Egon lived with us abroad in Istanbul for a few months. We had a Turkish neighborhood, Ahmet, look after him for a weekend while we were traveling. Upon returning, Ahmet had many nice things to say about his time with Egan, all in broken English. It sounded like they had a great time. Ahmet concluded his story by saying, ‘I love your cat. He is very, um, I don’t know the word–sweet?’ I suggested: ‘Fluffy? Playful?’ ‘No, no. None of those,’ Ahmet said. ‘Oh, I remember the word. Ugly. Your cat is very ugly.’ It’s true. Egon is very ugly-cute.”
