Taylor Swift's Perfume Doesn't Have to Smell Bad: Celebrity Fragrances We Actually Like

Taylor Swift is following in the footsteps of pretty much every celebrity ever and launching her own fragrance. The wise-beyond-her-years (?) singer just inked a deal with Elizabeth Arden to develop her own unique scent, set to appear on shelves next fall. I'm assuming the fragrance will be quite sophisticated, since Taylor likes dating older men and all.... Okay, not really. That was a joke. I'm expecting it to smell bad. Really, really bad. But let's not give up hope just yet. There are a few celebrity scents I actually like. (A snap poll of my friends--inside and outside of fashion--suggests that I may be the only person on earth willing to admit this.) Celebrity fragrances that I not only can stomach, but wouldn't mind wearing:

With Love...Hilary Duff The crowning achievement of Duff's career. Thus far, at least. It's a spicy, amber scent.

White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor Okay, this mix of lily, rose, and amber smells old lady-ish. But it's been one of the best-selling fragrances in the world for nearly 20 years. So maybe it's time to embrace your inner Golden Girl.

Debbie Gibson's Electric Youth Unfortunately, this scent has been discontinued, along with Debbie's pop career. But it was my eau du jour in second grade.

Like This by Tilda Swinton Leave it to the I Am Love actress to make a serious celebrity fragrance. It's a complex blend of neroli, mandarin, pumpkin flesh–combined with powdered ginger, immortelle, rose, heliotrope and vetiver.
