Writing about fashion full time means getting a little obsessed–okay, really, really obsessed–with certain topics. (Cough, Taylor Momsen, cough.)

But when it comes to actual clothes and accessories, our enthusiasm knows no bounds.

From those elusive Pierre Hardy boots (we finally had to cave and buy a pair) to Stella McCartney Kids clothes (adults can fit a large, thank you!), there was lots to blog about. Care to take a look?

Pierre Hardy Gap Boots
Are they coming or not? The release date–then retraction of the release date–for these coveted Pierre Hardy x Gap lace up boots had us on pins and needles this year. But of course, when finally debuted, we found them well worth the wait.

Christian Louboutin Barbie
Admittedly, we’d rather buy the shoe than the doll. But that sentiment doesn’t bar us from full on appreciating of a Barbie rocking hot pink, ruffled thigh highs and three extra pairs of Louboutin’s. Each with its own duster.

Those “Hairy” J. Crew Lace Tights
A stylist’s choice to pair J.Crew’s lace tights in “Fawn” with a mini and a blazer seemed innocent enough, until someone noticed it it resulted in a less than flattering effect. The internet went wild over the model’s “hairy” legs, causing J.Crew to change re-shoot the picture. Much to our disappointment. Because it was kind of awesome.

Stella McCartney Kids Collection
Fashionista loves the kids. But when their clothes are designed by Stella McCartney, we sorta love the clothes more. Hence our shopping spree of her kids collection for the Gap. (Don’t judge.)

Lanvin x H&M
Starting with the campaign shots, to the videos, and ending with the actual collection itself (chic DIY-inspired tees and lush cocktail dresses) we just couldn’t get ENOUGH of the Lanvin x H&M collection.

Charlotte Olympia Shoes
We love Louboutin’s, Kirkwood’s and Hardy’s as much as the next girl, but if anything were to tempt us out of our flats it’s Charlotte Dellal’s shoe collection, Charlotte Olympia. We loved her daring designs so much, we crafted an “ode.”

Grey Ant’s Bum Belt
Wait, so it exists? That’s what we discovered in 2010, when model Roshumba had the cojones (and the bootie) to rock it on the red carpet at the For Colored Girls premier. Month’s later, we’re still asking, “Would you wear this?”

Victoria Beckham’s $13K Crocodile Bag
Posh Spice’s journey from fashion “wannabe” to fashion insider was complete with the sale–and selling out–of her new handbag collection. It wouldn’t be remarkable, except for the Birkin like price-points of the bags: $10K and up. Well done!

Elizabeth and James Glasses
Expansion was the name of the game for E and J this year, as they trotted out their line of denim, then baubles. But what really had us ready to run to retailers was another new launch: a unisex line of shades. The effortless chic–and the affordable price point–seduced us instantly.

J.Crew Bridal
Maybe if it wasn’t for upcoming nuptials (Lauren!), we wouldn’t give this a thought. But a visit to the altar required an appointment to check out J. Crew’s bridal gowns–and it was instant love. We documented the journey in an eight page–yup, eight page–post.

Gap’s New/Old Logo
True, a logo doesn’t qualify as a product–but please permit us to cheat on our own list. The retailer’s about face on its new logo hinted at an identity crisis of proportions we haven’t seen since adolescence. We blogged in depth about the drama–which had the whole internet buzzing. Luckily, Gap ended up as it should have all along, reverting back to its classic logo.
