Breaking: Baptiste Giabiconi’s New Music Video Is Amazing (But Will Karl Approve?)
By Leah Chernikoff
Baptiste Giabiconi, better known as Karl Lagerfeld‘s muse, has been working on a music career for some time. Giabiconi’s single “Showtime” dropped in October and today Christmas came early (or we got a late Hannukah pressie) with the release of his first music video. Giabiconi is that rare pop star whose accent doesn’t disappear when he sings, but the best part is around one minute in where the song stops for some dramatic dialogue and Giabiconi yells, “Whass wrong wees you, man!?”
Our friends at Refinery29 astutely observed that the song sounds super Ke$ha-y, which also means it’s catchy and not horrible and could easily be the ganthem for the new year (that’s gay anthem, and yes, I just made it up right now). Loves it. Yay.

ouch…
Ugh, he’s only one small step above Paulie D in this video. Shouldn’t he know not to use that much hairspray?
and we thought the joursey shore was bad.. this is the french equivalency – douche bag.
he’s all about the ladies…riiiight.
go back to singing school
go back to dancing school
go back to acting school
and go back to english school
hilarious, i hope you were joking when you say its amazing. and I hadn’t thought of it but i agree, its definitely jersey shore-esque.
i really hope he’s not counting on an international singing pop career, most teenage girls like boys they actually can fantasize they have a chance with, not a guy who is lagerfield’s boy toy (as much as that is cool to me, I don’t see my 15 y.o. sister or her friends liking that)
This video/song is so bad it has singlehandedly turned me off to fashion gossip for the rest of the day. I actually want to be productive at work now in fear that not doing so will leave me more opportunities to waste time watching rubbish like this.
Either Leah was paid to write this great review or April fools came early.
