Are you a six-year-old with a flair for fashion and do you also own an iPad? (Read: Are you Suri Cruise?) Well then Gucci Playground is the app for you.
Brought to you buy the folks who created the $225 3-D movie glasses, Gucci Playground, which launched today, is the brand’s first app, WWD is reporting. Aimed at their youngest customers, it features Gucci’s newly launched children’s line and lets users dress up multi-culti “paper dolls” in the collection and put finishing touches, like wallpaper and color, on their looks with the brush of a chubby toddler index finger.
It’s like really expensive finger painting without the mess! Maybe that’s why socialite moms Emily Mortimer, Vogue’s Filipa Fino, Celerie Kemble and Stephanie Wolkoff (with their kids in tow) are set to fete the new app at Gucci’s flagship store on Fifth Ave. later this afternoon.
And if you haven’t checked out Gucci’s kid’s line yet, it’s worth a look, if only to gawk at their child models who are styled like adults. Take a look.
