Olivia Palermo To Launch Clothing Line, Cracks a Smile For Nine Page Spread in Vogue Spain

We never saw this one coming.
Kidding! In not at all shocking news, Olivia Palermo has revealed in January’s Vogue Spain that her forthcoming reality show will follow the launch of her own clothing line (thank you to Racked for translating). Using a reality TV show to launch a line? What a novel idea! Racked points out that, duh, this is exactly what The City was for Whitney Port. It’s also the basis for Lauren Conrad’s new reality TV show, which will focus on her new line, Paper Crown.
Still, we’ll probably watch (no word on when or where it will air). Because love her or hate her, Palermo has a great sense of style (she made our 30 best dressed of the year list) and she is very pretty to look at. That bone structure! So we’re curious.

I think I’m always going to be on the fence about this girl. I want to hate her because she seems spoiled and doesn’t really do much but her insouciance and icy demeanor are kind of magnetic. I mean, the way she got Erin all worked up was very entertaining. The last picture makes her seem more human now instead of Queen Bitch.
I anticipate her new line to be somewhat successful because I think she is smart and definitely has this controlled polished-but-individualistic style, kind of like The Row but definitely not like Whitney Eve.
Let’s just hope we won’t see a lot of her cousin on this new show.

You’re right, not so surprising at all. I too am looking forward to seeing her line. Personally, I think she’s pretty classy and i’m looking forward to her revealing this other side to her.

I just realised that I only like “her” when shes with her ridiculously gorgeous bf Johannes H. any other time I just like her style. The girl also needs to learn how to speak fluently – its painful to watch an interview of hers which is longer than a minute; as shes always fumbling up her words, is awkward and a bit contrived. I will still be watching her show though if only for a siting of Mr. JH.

She’s quite ridiculous on the City. In fact, I can’t believe anyone who’s actually watched that show can like her. She’s really silly and boring. She dresses well, though.
