I don’t like to do a lot of end of year reflecting about anything, except maybe all the shoes I wish I had bought but didn’t (a girl can dream, right?), but 2010 has seen some major model mayhem.
2010 saw more diversity in the typically cookie-cutter world of modeling. Was it perfect? Of course not, but the modeling industry may be taking much needed steps into the right direction. The top models of 2010 came in all body types, genders, ethnicities, ages, and sexual orientations, proving that there’s a lot more to being a successful model than a symmetrical face and a size zero frame.
Click though to see our list of the models that made made it big in 2010.

5. Edita Vilkeviciute
6. Tatiana Cotliar
7. Jacquelyn Jablonski
8. Frida Gustavsson
9. Shu Pei
10. Kendra Spears

I don’t know what the fuss is about Abbey; she’s very homely to me and way too skinny for her large head.
you know…i used to feel the same way! but there’s something about her that’s just so intriguing! maybe she’ll grow on you :)
She’ll grow on me as an ugly tumor!
ps1 – benign, not malignant
Oh I’m so impressed with this! Entertaining and filled with lots of info, plus it’s all about the genuine fashion world.
Lara is not a Dane BTW. She is Dutch.
Yes, Lara is Dutch, just like Daphne and Doutzen! We’re very proud of our models over here.
What about Snejana?!?!? JUST KIDDING lmfao.
I would’ve included Constance, Anna Selezneva, Karmen, Tatiana, & Sigrid. I really don’t get the fuss about Crystal. The girl is just an absolute snoozefest.

I think liu wen was more talked about for her estee lauder contract then shu pei for her maybelline…

Was that because Liu got her contract first, which made her the 1st Asian model to be under contract with them? Also, you have to consider the Victoria’s Secret gig and the 2nd most booked for the Spring 2010 season after Constance.
I find Shu Pei’s features to be more appealing even though she’s ranked #33 and Liu is #10.

Wixson has got to be the most repulsive model I’ve ever seen. Honestly, youse all been brainwashed.
Any 2010 list that doesn’t include Liu Wen is just plain ridiculous. Even worse when you put Shu Pei instead of Liu Wen! Both are lovely girls but one must be blind/deaf to think Shu Pei got more buzz this year.
Thank you to the industry for embracing the real life cycle of women: Crystal Renn and Miranda Kerr. http://www.roz-writes.com
I cannot understand how on earth you could not include Anja Rubik in the 2010 summary…
