Yep, this is really happening. Here is Karl Lagerfeld in a commercial for Volkswagen “Style,” a special stylish add-on package for VW Golf and Polo models that includes lightweight alloy rims, fog lamps, and tinted privacy glass, Racked is reporting. In the 30 second spot, the Kaiser as photographer seems to mutter under his breath something about how stylish the cars are and is surprised that they are German. Vas!? We’re in Deutschland!?

OMFG………………**scuzzes**
Watching Uncle Karl do….well, ANYTHING….is orgasmic. LOVE!!!!
Well, the translation is kinda wrong. Karl talks about how stylish the cars are and that he already sees them in Barcelona, Milan and of course Paris. Then Babtiste Giabiconi whispers in his ear that they are only available in Germany and thats what upsets Karl. Hope that helps :)

he says: “was? nur im deutschland?!” which means he is surprised/angry that these cars will be sold ONLY in germany.
VW going high style, love it. VW is smart. This is a smart way to approach their ads. Anyone else besides me sick of every car commercial looking the same? And every car for that matter.
The point of an ad is to get people to notice and then to buy. VW and Mini seem to understand this and no one else. I was in New York recently and saw a Mini in a snow globe then on Facebook saw Mini COuntryman in a cereal box (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=262292&id=8285708220). Not high style like the VW stuff but it is getting Mini noticed right?
He doesn’t say We’re in Deutschland. He says “Was? Nur in Deutschland?!”, which means “Only in Germany?!”
Fashionista, surely two people pointing out the mistake is enough to change it.
