We knew that Kelly Cutrone, who has become the beloved Dr. Phil-esque lifestyle guru of the fashion world (as well as an actual correspondent for Dr. Phil), was working a new show but didn’t know much about it.

A casting notice reveals that Cutrone’s new show for MTV will be more like an extension of her role on Dr. Phil than a Kell on Earth redux. Cutrone’s new show will see the PR legend and best-selling author help folks reach their dreams. “Kelly Cutrone…is here to push you to achieve your goals,” reads the casting notice, “She’s been there, and has the know-how to kick your dreams into gear.”

And she’s looking for some dreamers to kick into gear, Cutrone-style, which will probably mean lots of blunt, no-nonsense but loving advice. If you’re 18-23 here’s here’s what you need to know (non-fashion dreamers are welcome to apply, too):

“MTV is looking for talented, motivated, and dedicated young adults (appear to be 18-23) who want to showcase their talents and passions. Kelly Cutrone knows exactly how to make your dreams a reality, and her candid and no-nonsense approach will help you realize if you have what it takes.

Are you’re tired of hearing “no” and “it is impossible” from the people in your life? Are your parents always telling you to give up and focus on a “real” career? Please send an e-mail to casting@leftfieldpictures.com telling us a little bit about yourself, your talent, and why Kelly Cutrone should help you.”

If only we were 23, we’d be drafting our emails now.

Oh my God. Is 23 the new cutoff for “young adults”?

Ah, but you only have to “appear to be” 18-23!

Ooh. Good point.

No attribution on the photo? Is that Kelly Cutrone? Did she get radical plastic surgery or is makeup and diet really that transformative?

Is this show in LA or NY?

when your showroom is failure, resource to pay your employees with tv money.

sounds good to me

I hope I’m not the only one who gets immense pleasure from the hilarious spam comments like the one above.

Seriously, 23 is old now? Dang.

P.S I want you to know that I only took that survey because of the photo of Cher Horowitz…you guys know me too well…

why in the world does it cut off at 23?? Are you kidding? At 23 you barely have real world/life experience. Adn, at that age you may change your mind 200 times with what you ACTUALLY want to do and are good at!?!? Why not open it to those over 30, hel-lo. This is crazy. I wont watch. I know it’s MTV but seriously? Not sure why Kelly always focuses on “teens” and all, way off base.

“At 23 you barely have real world/life experience”

It seems like she wants to focus her talk show on helping young people who, at the age of 23 and less, are at that period in their lives, where nothing seems clear and straightforward and life is still a party. I think it would be interesting to know what your 40 year old self would say to your 20 year old self.

Agreed. I think it would be more interesting to to do a show with 40-year-olds who are going through a transition period or starting over in their careers. I know, not really for MTV’s target audience but perhaps these young people would consider it as valuable lessons to prepare them for the real deal.

It’s just MTV….they are shooting for a very young audience, their base… anyone over 23 probably wouldn’t want her kind of advice….on anything.
