Lady Gaga Confirms Her Fragrance Will Contain the "Feeling and Scent" of Semen and a Sample of Her Own Blood

We broke the news last month that Lady Gaga's first fragrance would smell like blood and semen. (We also pointed out she's not the first to use semen as inspiration for a fragrance.) Now Lady Gaga has confirmed our report, telling Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O, "I wanted to extract the feeling and the scent of blood and semen from molecular structures, so that's where that [report] came from." Molecular structures? Sound confusing? Gaga explained: "[Blood and semen] is in the perfume but it doesn't smell like that--you just get the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is primal." And when Lady Gaga says "primal" she means it. The "blood" part of her fragrance is actually derived from her own blood. "It was taken out of my own blood sample so it's a sense of having me on your skin." It seems like an audacious presumption but after seeing the dedication of Gaga's little monsters at her show at MSG Tuesday night, we're sure fans will be scrambling to spritz themselves in Sang de Gaga. When asked what Gaga thought the fragrance smelled like overall she replied, "the perfume smells like an expensive hooker." Of course it does.
