VOGUE/Mario Testino

It’s a big week for Gaga’s Little Monsters. The first single from her upcoming album, “Born This Way,” drops tomorrow, and Vogue has posted the complete article and images from Gaga’s highly anticipated March cover issue (written by Jonathan Van Meter and shot by Mario Testino) on their website.

As we expected, there are dramatic shots of Gaga in over-the-top McQueen, but there are also some relatively normal photos of Gaga in Louis Vuitton and Haider Ackermann sans her usual elaborate makeup (of course, she’s still sporting a pastel pink bob and purple lips) that make the seemingly confident star look vulnerable. In the article, she tells Van Meter “I am quite down-to-earth for such an eccentric person…”

The issue hits newsstands February 22.

kinda looks like Tavi.

Pretty sure they copy & pasted the same expression in all seven pictures shown here.

Supreme styling (except for the vampire lipstick). Gotta agre with Alo though- it does look like the same open mouthed expression.

I can only imagine it will make a lot more sense when I see it laid out in the issue, but I don’t get this shoot. I love the cover (really really really.) I don’t see, though, how the two interior shots with the peculiarly draped greenery (a Vogue whimsy standard) have any relation to the other four images, which look like touched up test shots. Other than the wig, the styling has no common thread. Most peculiar to me is that leather jacket in B&W.

Here we all thought Anna was a stickler for congruity.
