Pajar, established in Montreal by Paul Golbert in 1963, is a family favorite. My brother and I both have a pair.
Why? Because Pajar boots actually work–they keep you warm and dry (really!) and make your feet look damn great. I love the women’s Peak and Outremont, which look like a cross between L.L. Bean’s duck boots and my boyfriend’s favorite flannel. But my favorite shoe is the Renee–it’s waterproof, insulated, and still looks great marching down snowy streets.
