Matchbook Company, a talent consulting and brand development firm that represents Janie in developing and promoting her marketing collaborations (Janie Bryant MOD for QVC, Maidenform Intimate Apparel, Nailtini Nail Polish, Banana Republic, "The Fashion File" book, etc. ) is looking for a NY based intern with an interest in fashion and strong knowledge of social networking platforms to assist in marketing and social media outreach. We are looking for an individual who brings energy, creativity and a "can do" attitude in developing exciting new initiatives with Janie. This is an unpaid internship, but if we love you and you love us, there is definitely the opportunity to grow this into a paid position with our company. The ideal candidate will be able to work 2 - 3 days/week, but also flexible if specific events arise.

Job Responsibilities: -Working on content development for new website, blog and facebook. -Maintaining press clip file and content. -Assisting in the creation of client presentations and reports. -Helping in events and book signings. -Working with bloggers, PR firms and stylists. -Messengering and trafficking of samples.

Qualifications: -Team player -Excellent written and verbal communications skills -Strong attention to detail and design -Pro-active with willingness to offer ideas -Executes against direction -Ability to multi-task -Results focused -Internet savvy, with previous background in Tumblr, wordpress, or other. -Competent in Excel, PPT, WORD, Adobe -Basic HTML and Photoshop skills a must -Previous marketing and/or PR/promotion experience preferred. -Knowledge of retail, fashion, and beauty brandscape a plus
