Warby Parker, a new eyewear company, creates boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point, and for every pair of glasses bought, donates a pair to someone in need.
We have been featured in publications such as GQ, Vogue, Oprah, NY Times, Forbes, and Daily Candy, and were named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s “100 Brilliant Ideas of 2010”. We are looking to ramp up our all-star team to meet that demand by hiring a talented, dynamic and energetic person to be a Retail Sales Associate.
While we primarily sell online through our website, we have created a retail store in our NY office to serve customers on an appointment basis. Your role will be to create the most amazing in-person eyewear shopping experience.
You will be responsible for: -Making customers feel welcome and “at home” in our showroom -Providing style consulting and helping customers choose the best glasses for their personal style, face type and lifestyle. -Acting as an ambassador for our brand to help educate others about our mission and values -Coordinating efforts with other team members to ensure all customers receive exceptional service throughout their shopping and purchasing experience. -Following up with customers to ensure that they love their eyewear. -Assisting in maintaining showroom cleanliness and set-up and location of all glasses. -Achieving personal sales goals. -Innovating and sharing best practices for sales and customer service to be deployed across the organization. -Finding ways to contribute to other areas of the organization based on your personal passions and the company needs—this could be anything from writing posts for our upcoming blog to setting up a pop-up retail shop.

Ideal Candidate: You are passionate about fashion, eyewear and retail. You have a proven track record as a self-starter and are highly energetic, outgoing, detail-oriented, capable and flexible in handling diverse responsibilities, including multiple assignments and multiple customers effortlessly and effectively. You must be dedicated to making people happy – exceeding customer expectations with a great attitude while being a fantastic and fun team player.
Qualifications: -Minimum of one year of customer-facing retail experience required -Excited by a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. -Love for fashion and a professional, fashion-forward image. -Flexibility to work days, weekends and some evenings for showroom extended hours and/or events. -Knowledge of retail industry, POS system, Macintosh computers, and related business equipment a plus.
Location: Our showroom/office in Union Square, NYC
Compensation: We will compensate you at competitive hourly wages, plus potential for commission compensation structure provides excellent earning possibilities for the focused and outgoing individual.
