And the CFDA Nominees Include…Gaga, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and More
By Lauren Sherman
Another year, another CFDA Awards.
Tonight Diane von Furstenberg and Steven Kolb announced the nominations for 2011′s awards. But before she began to read out the names, DvF told the crowd at her packed studio that the organization would be putting together an auction for the victims of the Japan natural disasters. “We’re going to put together big packages. Designers, clients, suppliers–everyone is getting involved.”
As for the nominees and honorees, there were very few surprises, except for maybe one.

The CFDAs are one big circle jerk
CFDA is a SHAM
I want Proenza to win Womenswear of the Year and Alexander Wang to win Swarovski Mens!!! But love all those who are nominated!
I’d be well impressed if I had the ticket for the seat behind Gaga!
Actually, I would be as upset as the man who sat behind ADR when she was wearing one of her amazing hats – you wouldnt get to see a thing!
I must give credit where it’s due. Lady Gaga goes to such enormous effort whenever she has a public appearance – all the trouble she takes organising bespoke items and all the time into getting dressed. No lazy blue jeans for this performer!
