Emma Watson‘s capsule collab with Alberta Ferretti, “Pure Threads,” went on sale today at albertaferretti.com. So now you can see the five-piece collection in its entirety. It’s pretty, to be sure–very peasant-y, summery, romantic, etc.,–but also pretty expensive. Prices range from $340 for some denim short shorts with appliques on the sides to $1010 for a dress described as being made of “cloth and lace.” Of course, a portion of proceeds go to benefit People Tree, the fair trade clothing line and manufacturer that Watson supports, having designed two lines for the company in the past. In a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot for the collection, Emma Watson looks at the collection and murmurs, “This is actually like a dream come true.”
Would you splurge on any pieces from “Pure Threads”? Check out the full collection and let us know.

A portion of proceeds…..
How much is a portion? Where does the rest that doesn’t go to proceeds go? And isn’t Emma Watson, aside from Daniel Radcliff, one of the highest paid actors in that franchise?
She was the highest earning actress in Hollywood in 2010. I presume this means in the World, since she doesn’t live or work in Hollywood.
I agree. My spidey senses go crazy when I hear that.
Leah, I agree with you – they are pretty enough. But also so ordinary and incredibly expensive for such simple garments.
That black shift (the last photo) is the best pic. Everything else? Basic…
And even that black shift was basic, but at least it was cute.
It is always nice when wealthy people take the time out of their busy schedule to care about a good cause… I actually expected this line to be more afforable, being designed by Emma Watson and being in support of People Tree/the environment. It’s a huge disappointment to see the prices are at the normal Ferretti level, exclusively targeting the wealthy fashionistas who happily spend $1.000 on a new lace dress (ie nobody I know).
The only reason nobody’s really criticized the clothes as such is because Emma is generally well dressed on her own (courtesy Caroline Sieber). If it was anyone else, people who have a lot more to say.
These are just…meh. And too expensive. I could get half this stuff at Forever 21.
