Fashion Imitates Art, Art Imitates Life: Our Top Ten Posts from Fashion Blog “Miss Moss”

Whether it is accidental or deliberate, fashion imitates art. We stumbled across a South African blog, Miss Moss, that proves our theory.
The blogger juxtaposes street style snapshots and runway looks with paintings, costumes from period films, vintage design, and even pottery in an inventive series called “Color Comparisons” in which she creates side by side comparisons of Mary Katrantzou‘s creations with decorative oriental prints on ceramics.

Fresh idea – very interesting blog. The Mary Katrantzou dress featuring a china vase pattern was an obvious derivation (though lovely to see), most of the others were interesting for how Diana captured the mood, pose and colors of the photograph with a complementary work of art. Thanks for this story, Sarah.

miss moss has been a favourite of mine for a while… diana has a really great eye and always posts beautiful, inspiring and original content. love.
That would be nice and cool though i think if we do that we need a lot of many.
