At first glance at this week’s Rolling Stone cover we though Rihanna‘s denim panties–or are they supposed to be shorts?–were spray painted on to her perfect rear. Then Rihanna clarified matters with a tweet: “They’re denim printed shorts made of chainmail” (apparently other people were curious, too). Of course, RiRi is also covering Vogue this month, wearing Chanel pre-fall. Which do you prefer: Chanel or, um, chain mail hot pants?

Chanel all the way. The Rolling Stone cover comes across a little trashy

different stylistic embodiments for two completely different audiences (:

Where has Rolling Stone Magazine gone? With all of the un-covered, under-appreciated artists out there with brilliant music and stories to back them up, they fall back on the over-exposed Rihanna for the cover and a promise of military mis-doings.

You have lost your focus RS…not to mention a lot of U.S. military readers that lay down their lives everyday to afford you the privilege of still printing in English.

Good luck to you.

great interview. rihanna is human just like everyone else. if all of our lives were amplified by a microscope like hers is, we would see that our lives are not much different… except for the fact that she worked hard to get where she is, and most of us have just strolled to where we are.
