Lindsay Wixson Says ‘Au Revoir’ to Paris Fashion Week: The young model left Paris earlier this week after suffering from an allergic reaction caused by make-up. No particular show was blamed but we can’t imagine a face full of red make up at Victor & Rolf was good for anyone’s skin. Wixson will be missed at upcoming major shows like McQueen and Vuitton. {Vogue UK}

Armani’s Spring Collection On Screen: Giorgio Armani is the latest designer to jump on the fashion on film bandwagon. The film, entitled “The Color of the Night,” features Karen Elson in Armani’s flowing ‘Le Femme Bleue’ collection. Stills from the video can be found in the march issue of Interview. {Interview Magazine}

Lily Allen to Wed in Chanel: After starring in a Chanel handbag campaign and singing live at the house’s Spring 2010 runway show, it’s no surprise that Lily Allen has turned to Karl Lagerfeld to design her wedding dress. The singer will tie the knot with her beau Sam Cooper later this year. {Telegraph}

As fashion writers, we spend nearly as much time working after hours as we do 9 to 5–mostly because we’re forced to attend numerous events celebrating the latest collection, shop, or fragrance. (Wink, wink.)

And so it goes with most careers. Whether you’re out wining and dining clients or simply catching up with old friends over tapas, most of us don’t have time to go home and change for the evening’s activities. Our new dressing room is the office lavatory.

That’s why perfect little dresses like this 3.1 Phillip Lim Organza Lace Patchwork Dress from Nordstrom are so essential. It’s smart enough for day–especially when paired with a sharp black blazer–and chic enough at night, worn with a pair of strappy black heels and your favorite clutch.

The same could be said for Dolce & Gabbana‘s charming Dot Stretch Georgette Dress. Switch out your standard black pumps for vampy red heels for date night, and button it up with a thin cashmere cardigan for a meeting-free day.

Speaking of our favorite color combination–red and black–we’re also obsessing over this reversible dress from Lanvin. Wear it as a serious black shift for day and flip it over to look daring it red for night.

The great thing about fashion right now is that it’s fun, but still totally appropriate for lots of different occasions.

Fans of Brad Goreski are getting another chance to peek inside his world. Rachel Zoe’s former assistant, who recently scored Jessica Alba as a client, has launched a blog, aptly named Brad’s Blog.

The stylist’s first post features images from the March InStyle spread he edited–featuring Liya Kebede in Spring 2011 Jil Sander–as well as his Details shoot with Christian Slater. (Who looks really hot in the photo, by the way. Seriously.)

PARIS–On Vanessa Bruno‘s fall runway at the Palais de Tokyo, it looked like models had run through clotheslines hung with fresh white linens, but, you know, stylishly. So that squares of cream and white were draped and smocked and twisted as tops and were pieced together as delicate skirts with rag-tag hemlines. Then sturdier, thicker fabrics more suitable for colder months emerged on brocade jackets with no lapels, fastened tight, and on chunky loosely woven knits (a la Rag & Bone) thrown over those drape-y delicate cream pieces. Bruno played with this contrast in texture throughout the collection–mixing lighter than air separates and dresses in a painterly leaf print with heavier jackets, nubby knits, and, my favorite, slouchy wool coats with collars done in fur and knits.

We all (well, I guess I should just speak for myself here) get annoyed by celebrity fragrances. It’s estimated that there are 100-200 on the market at any given time, most of which don’t smell that great. While there are some that do and have stood the test of time, like Liz Taylor’s White Diamonds, many are flashes in the pan meant to capitalize on a celeb’s of-the-moment fame/notoriety. (Dare I mention a buxom brunette whose name rhymes with “Mardashian”?)

Last year when Jennifer Aniston announced she was releasing a fragrance, I had to roll my eyes. It’s hard to articulate exactly what annoys me so much about her. She seems like a decent person, and has had to deal with the dissection of her personal life, a horrid divorce, a string of mediocre films, and a decade of living up to “The Rachel.” But still, I was ready to write off her fragrance as another celebrity ego project.

PARIS–In what will likely go down as one of the most drama-filled Paris fashion weeks, Chloe’s Hannah MacGibbon could not escape the designer rumor mill. MacGibbon presented her fall collection for Chloe amidst rumblings that it would be her last for the brand. But this was no shrinking violet, meekly-shuffling-out-the-door kind of collection.

Gone is the minimalist ballerina of last season. Chloe’s fall girl is brash and emboldened with the spirit of the ’70s, she struts in leather track suits and is not afraid to match snake print with snake print. I prefer the ballerina. But this collection should strike a chord with any lady looking to make a statement: hiss.

PARIS-Despite the male voice’s slow reading of the French poet Arthur Rimbaud’s Ophélie–a Symbolist sonnet written when Mr. Rimbaud was 17 years old in three parts, describing the fictive lover of Shakepeare’s Hamlet who eventually succumbed to insanity and death by drowning in a river–over the soundtrack the Junya Watanabe show on Saturday morning, the designer’s fall collection is anything but soft poetry.
