“I never really liked sort of what [Galliano] did so much. I liked better what McQueen did. I liked better what Vivienne Westwood did. So now I don’t like it, and he’s a Jew hater? I was like, ‘buh-bye’…Galliano was more of a fetishist to me. He was more of a fetishist than a democrat. And I refer to him in the past tense, because I don’t think he’ll work again. I hope not. I hope he doesn’t work again.”

–While most other designers have either kept mum, made excuses, or been very diplomatic about Galliano’s fall from grace , Isaac Mizrahi doesn’t hold back, speaking to The Cut last night at the MCC Theater’s Annual Musical Spectacular Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

He’s not a democrat but a fetishist? Is that a political party I’m not aware of? Maybe they’re like libertarians.

It’s clear that Isaac, like Galliano, likes to talk out of his ass.

Tim Gunn: ‘Isaac Mizrahi is a terrible person’

sorry, this is the wrong place for this but i don’t think that i can visit this site as frequently. the *multiple* loud video ads on your page are obnoxious.

It’s one thing to criticize horrible things Galliano said, it’s another to diss his work. At least Galliano didn’t dye dogs pink and blue for his runway presentations to appear creative.

The ones who are ignored often speak the loudest.

Well, he’s not exactly living by the golden rule here, but at least someone has the balls to call Galliano’s actions out. John Galliano needs rehab like I need another pair of shoes (and just to clarify, I don’t need another pair of shoes). What he needs is a reality check, along with the rest of the fashion industry, it seems.

it’s funny because i don’t like what isaac mizrahi does so much, and i hope he never works again.

I think he took it a bit far criticizing his work but at least he’s speaking out and not skittishly defending Galliano needlessly (YEAH, Franca Sozzani, here’s looking at you). The fashion industry is WAY too forgiving of it’s icons.
