The Latest In Skincare: Algae, Bulgarian Flowers, Sesame Seeds, East Meets West, and Electric Currents
By Cheryl Wischhover
Kiehl’s: Beloved skincare line Kiehl’s is on fire this spring with two new launches. First, there’s Rosa Arctica Youth Regenerating Cream, whose star ingredient is derived from the rare Resurrection Flower that lives in harsh conditions in Bulgaria. The super-rich cream does double duty by moisturizing and minimizing signs of aging (and supposedly helping to defend against further skin insults.) It’s $60.
Kiehl’s second launch is the Double Strength Deep Wrinkle Filler, which contains hyaluronic acids. This one is fantastic, because you see an immediate effect as well as (hopefully) long-term effects. You apply this potion directly onto wrinkles, and “filling spheres” and optical elements immediately lessen the look of the wrinkles. Then the active ingredients are supposed to take over to penetrate below the wrinkle to minimize it over time. No needles required. This one is $39.
