Amanda Pearl Needs a Production Manager!

Amanda Pearl, launched in 2008, is a luxury accessories house with a core in made-in-Italy evening bags with extensions in other categories including jewelry and hair accessories. Amanda recently won the Fashion Group International Rising Star Award for Accessories, and is poised for significant growth. The Production Manager is responsible for managing the on-time development, sampling and production of the handbag and jewelry collections with factories in New York City and Florence, Italy. The person in this position will be working closely on a daily basis with Amanda.

The Production Manager is responsible for managing the on-time development, sampling and production of the handbag and jewelry collections with factories in New York City and Florence, Italy. The person in this position will be working closely on a daily basis with Amanda.

Amanda will look to this manager to source and set up any necessary new production partners, maintain our current production partners, maintain the raw materials/costing database, manage product distribution and oversee the overall operations of the Amanda Pearl Studio.

The ideal candidate will possess: • An entrepreneurial spirit • A minimum of 2 years previous experience with domestic and international accessories production • An understanding of the technical aspects of jewelry and handbag production • A great attention to detail and strong organizational skills • An ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally • Follow-up and follow through skills • An ability to handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills • An ability to work independently • A high energy level, team player with the ability to manage and motivate others • A positive outlook and a thick skin • An ability to work in a fast paced environment • Computer proficiency: Mac programs, Word, Excel, Pages, Email • A bachelor’s degree • Italian language skills a plus
