Conran’s name was first mentioned along with reports that Kate will have three wedding dresses for the big day, his being one of them.

The designer is no stranger to royal weddings. He was commissioned to create the wedding dress of Princess Margaret’s daughter Lady Sarah Chatto in 1994. He also had a close relationship with Princess Diana.

Conran has been candid about his eagerness for the gig. He told the Telegraph that if chosen, he would make Kate look like “a vision of England.”
