Bryanboy, Rumi Neely and Elin Kling Are Now All On One Site and Possibly Setting Up Shop in NYC
By Sarah Ferguson
Why travel from store to store when it’s quicker and easier to get your shopping done at the mall? This seems to be the philosophy behind superblog Nowmanifest.
The new site is a one-stop shop for the leading personal style blogs. Starting last month, the individual online locations of Bryanboy, Rumi Neely‘s Fashiontoast, Elin King‘s Style by Kling, and the digital counterpart of Industrie magazine, bacame part of the Nowmanifest network.
The homepage boasts instant updates from each of the bloggers–their posts, Twitter feed, and comments from their readers, so you never have to miss a dramatic photo of Rumi in a parking lot or a drunken tweet from Bryanboy. You can even conduct a search for keywords that scours all four blogs at once so you can see all of their Coachella and fashion week adventures in one spot. From there, you can travel to their separate pages that are presented in a sleek and simple format under the Nowmanifest umberella.
According to the site, the idea behind Nowmanifest is that bloggers are no longer simply “commentators.” They are “creators.” The platform is built to help take the blogosphere to the next level for the “modern consumer.” Swedish digital media brand Fashion Networks International is behind the project.
Kling has recently been posting about looking for an apartment in NYC, which makes us think these leading style bloggers might be setting up a home base in NYC.
Bryanboy, Rumi, Elin, and Industrie were chosen because they are respected in the fashion industry and have a wide influence among their many followers. What’s in it for the bloggers? A check at the end of each month, of course.
What are your thoughts about this new way to view?

Great. Two of the biggest clowns in fashion teamed up with the worst built blog equals the most confusing cluttered looking website that takes forever to load and makes no sense at all. I couldnt last more than 12 seconds on that horrible site. Give me a break.
Yeah, “wide influence” to 14 year olds. I used to like Rumi Neeley but after a while her cheap style made me want to throw up. And Bryan is just the biggest clown that looks like a poor Andre Leon Tally wannabe. I am getting so sick of all these fashion sites that keep promoting the same old crap all the time. There are sooooo much better style bloggers out there.
Just curious which style bloggers you mean, TMJNYC? I think that they are ok, I’ve seen worse, and I agree that joint site is horrible. I also am baffled by how many people follow them that they “influence”. Especially since the clothes and designers that they wear are not that good.
As a person that would love to move to NYC and dreams of quitting my job to try and work in fashion, I’m just curious too see what sites you like. Don’t want to annoy you when I get there ;)
And this is what I mean, why do my comments keep getting erased? I answered your question Andria, and said that none of these bloggers never get written about, just the same old tired bloggers, but every time I mention bloggers that are not friends or advertisers with the website that I comment on, my comments get erased. Why don’t you erase the one about Garance? Right she must be your friend too.
Abbe Diaz – cool, beautiful, different, stylish, has substance
Margaux Lonnberg – cool, beautiful, different, stylish, has substance
Jeremy Cunanan – cute, cool photos
Mira and Thilda – beautiful photos
This is the second website this has happened on, and I am tempted to go on Fashion Spot and other forums and tell everyone to boycott your sites. And this time I am keeping a screen shot.
your comments were never deleted on purpose. sometimes the site is glitchy and comments disappear but that’s purely a tech problem and we’re working on it. but it’s not coming from us. i’m glad you’re commenting — thanks for this list!

OMG and just when I thought I was alone in my thoughts. Thank goodness there are other people with straight minds out there.

And please please please do not come to NYC. We have enough horribly dressed hipsters with massive egos. There are plenty of Forever 21′s and H&M’s where you live so there’s no need for them to come here.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH prettyyyy please don’t come to ny. LOL
not only is this infuriatingly retarded as a concept, the execution is even worse. ridiculously confusing website with no rhyme or reason… but at least you get to watch a shaky night video of rumi and bryanboy talking about important issues like balenciaga vs comme des garcons wallets as they walk into urth cafe. they are like the jersey shore of fashion.
“jersey shore of fashion” hahaha! That was great.
I personally love when they have videos of them discussing random things as i am a fan of both of their blogs. I am sure i am not the only one. If you do not like their style of blogging / content do not go to the site.
Seriously? You like videos of them “OHMY GAAAAAWD RUMIII I’ve never been to an in n out burgerrr, this is like so whack” “OhmiGAWD bryan i LOVE in n out burger especially the cheese fries” “HA HA Rumiii you are so funny, you crack me UP”.
Truly the mark of an intelligent conversation. Or even a funny one.
I like The Cherry Blossom Girl, and Garance Dore…. Those types excel at more than just blogging, same with Susie Bubble. It is time for some new blood online, It is also time for something innovative beyond blogging…In my book it is already passe.
It looks really, really good I think!

someone peed in TMJNYC’s cheerios. conspiracy theory whining much?
considering the gigs Rumi Neely and Bryan Boy *keep booking* they are obviously still being looked to as style setters and important figures. just because you don’t like them doesn’t mean they should disappear off the face of the earth. just try cranking up the dial on your selective blindness and carry on.
that said, the concept for the site is awfully precious and not appealing to me at all.

cringe at bryanboy’s pose.
and yes I’v heard it’s quite the monthly paycheck…but they’ve basically sold their name/domain to the site… mmm good luck to them we’ll see how effective it is.
TMJNYC – YOU should have a blog! “And please please please do not come to NYC. We have enough horribly dressed hipsters with massive egos. There are plenty of Forever 21′s and H&M’s where you live so there’s no need for them to come here” THAT’S seriously funny dude, and so true
Amen
@ TMJNYC I totally agree with you, unfortunately today numbers count not quality. Their sites get tons of hit every day so the brands press the lemon while they can.
I completely agree with everyone above. I actually like Fashiontoast but it’s mostly because of the photos which is all Colin anyway. Bryanboy sounds so ridiculously inane in all his videos, I want to repeatedly shoot myself. Why has he got that california blonde on crack accent? Elin is okay but there are better blogs out there.
I actually like Atlantic Pacific, Fab Blab, Natalie Off Duty, Style Bubble, Sincerely Jules, Lust for Life etc. I actually love personal style blogs and Fashiontoast was one of my early favorites but her voice has gone from down to earth to “look at how awesome my life is” and that’s just tacky.
thanx for sharing that..
There is no denying the inspiration and culture built even around the most mainstream of bloggers. We have to admit that, although bloggers only are as important as the industry lets them be by giving them access, there numbers and followers are much larger and growing while magazine after magazine shuts down.
With that said, Carine Roitfeld and most lately Alex White both mentioned that going digital was in their cards as they left the industry.
*their*
Not thrilled with the implementation. I’m not sure what Bryan adds to the conversation anymore, and while I do like Rumi….I’m eh on the site.
Honestly had a similar idea about six months ago but a total different model and implementation concept.
Frankly, if you want your blogs in one place, go to Bloglovin and make it so. Not the best interface, but the least invasive. I probably follow about 50 blogs through them.
Did anyone else watch Bryanboy’s livestream during fashion week? Best part was when Bryanboy was gossiping with Wendy Lam (I think) when he thought he was off camera ” Yeah, Rumi’s pissed because her schedule isn’t as full as mine. And she didn’t get car service. Kanon’s paying me 5000. Car service and cash”
They’re equally petty and classless and I’m kind of ready for both to disappear. Bryan’s clinging on to his 15 seconds, I feel.
it’s honestly relieving to see that not everyone that reads/looks at fahion blogs is so easily pleased by the ridiculously vapid content on this nowmanifest shit. seriously, bryanboy is the most shallow blogger (scratch that, person) i “know”. i find it sad that he’s so “respected” in the fashion industry though he’s probably the most stereotypically vain fashion blogger out there. frankly, he’s a disgrace (rather harsh, i know)
and rumi is inredidly moronic. she goes to coachella (you know the MUSIC festival) to take pictures of herself instead of enjoying the amazing opportunity she has.
yes, i have visited her blog. so don’t tell me to simply shut up and stop visiting her site if i’m so unsatisfied.
i can also be found ranting here: http://thealoofhipster.blogspot.com/
(sorry for the blatant self-promotion, discretion isn’t my thing)
What??You actually write? And full, perfectly constructed sentences at that? Sorry, no free clothes for you.
No seriously, I just headed over to your blog, liked what I saw and wanted to share the love. :)
Love your site! Keep speaking the truth.
**incredibly
No one is really mentioning Elin, so I just wanted to add that I think her style/taste is impeccable.
Her style IS a lot like Rumi’s except with way more high end pieces. But all things said and done, her face is gorgeous.
I think her look is a lot more polished.
I love Elin…though her blog used to be a lot more actual outfit of the day posts and so on… now its mostly promoting Styleby and the Nowmanifest deal… I miss seeing gorgeous pics of Elin just living a normal life! I guess that’s what happens
oh and I love Atlantic Pacific too! Such a put together look, not all homeless like some people…
i used to read fashiontoast but i had to stop because, as someone else said, its basically rumi talking about how amazing her jetsetting life is -_- i stopped reading the glamourai, selective potential, and other blogs for the exact same reason. the narcissistic ‘perfect’ lives and nonexistent writing skills make me want to throw up. i want to see real people, in real fashion, living their daily lives and WRITING A BLOG ABOUT IT. not just posting pictures of themselves crouching on a beach in $5,000 shoes (that they got for free).
