"I've loved her style for years," says Sama Eyewear creative director Sheila Vance of L'Agence's Margaret Maldonado. The purveyor of fabulous sunglasses recently teamed up with Maldonado to create a capsule of cool-French-girl shades, sold at Ilori boutiques across the country.
Last night Ilori threw a party feting the partnership at their SoHo flagship, where we caught up with Vance amidst a packed crowd of notables and celebrities including Jean Pigozzi and Minka Kelly. (And Mickey Rourke....)
While Vance is certainly besotted with the results--a mix of aviators and elevated wayfarers--it's also the message behind the collection that makes her especially proud. Proceeds of each pair sold will benefit the Sam Vance Foundation, which helps teenagers and young adults overcome drug addictions. Said Vance, "[Margaret] and I both have a passion for giving back."
