Fashion News Roundup: Marni Launches Kids, the Kate Middleton Jelly Bean, and Khloe Kardashian’s Kloset Is On Display
Marni For Girls: Marni is launching a kids collection for girls aged 2-12 based off the label’s retro Marni Edition collections. “It contains essential key items of the Marni world, such as exclusive Marni prints, for example hearts, florals, polka-dots, contrasting stripes and our signature doll print,” designer Consuelo Castiglioni said. Being the chic-est girl on the playground doesn’t come cheap, however. Price points range between $60 and $650. {Vogue UK}
Mary HK Choi Makes Refinery’s “I Love My…” Feature Insanely Hilarious: Mary HK Choi (my personal journo crush) wrote the funniest ode to the cheapo $9 skirts she loves for Refinery’s “I Love My…” feature. A sampling: “They’re probs produced by dim-eyed, nimble-fingered toddlers who feed the unending python of flammable black elasticky shit into a mechanized guillotine that simultaneously cuts and seam finishes the tubes with the crummiest serged edge. But they’re so easy…They’re conflict body-con skirts. I love them, but they make me feel awful.” {Refinery29}
Behold the Kate Middleton Jelly Bean: You know how people see Jesus in weird things like, say, grilled cheese on an episode of Glee? Someone found a jelly bean that looks like Kate Middleton and they’re looking to make around $800 off of it on eBay. {The Windsor Knot}

There’s nothing better than a well-made chair. That is, except for a well-made shoe.
For those of us almost as obsessed with furniture as we are with fashion, Milan’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile furniture fair, which begins April 17, is one trade show that we’re sad we’re missing.
Of course, the city’s fashion labels love to participate in the week-long event, and this year they’ve really pulled out all the stops.

Fendi held a fashion show at their Fifth Ave. flagship store yesterday to celebrate the domestic launch of their first kids collection. They used 34 boys and girls aged four to six to model the sweetly chic collection. Celeb guest Kelly Rutherford took a walk down the runway, too, kids in tow (despite that fact that her son, Hermes, looked like he didn’t want to be there at all).
The kids and the clothes are toothache sweet, but a toddler runway show is still a little bit off-putting. Just like it made us feel awkward to look at kids posing all sulky and sultry in Vogue Enfants, it feels a little weird to see a four-year-old with his hands on his hips strutting a runway–especially when that four-year-old is modeling a bathing suit. At the same time, it’s totes adorbs.
Take a look.

John Galliano Gets Booted From His Own Label
John Galliano, who was fired as creative director at Christian Dior following mounting allegations of racism and Antisemitism and a leaked video that showed the designer saying “I love Hitler,” has been ousted from his eponymous label, WWD is reporting.
The label, 91% of which is owned by Christian Dior SA, will continue to produce collections designed by the in-house team. According to WWD, pre-spring is already in the works. The paper also mentions that Dior has received several unsolicited offers to buy Galliano, but says that “it is understood a sale of the company is not an immediate priority, and no banks have been mandated to sell it, nor has financial data been made available to interested parties.”

SEOUL, KOREA–“I wish I could find underground designers that I could bring back and be the first to have in the store before everyone else get on board,” said Sara Dovan, a co-owner of the Traffic designer men and women stores in Los Angeles, over breakfast on her last day in Seoul before a night flight home from the city’s Fashion Week. “I’m surprised to see how the younger designers here are so quick to espouse commercial fashion, rather than taking a route–like many of their colleagues in New York or Paris–that champions making creative or even perhaps unsalable clothes,” I added. “But there are a few really good collections here,” Sara responded.
