Remember when David Beckham made a guest appearance on Snoop Dogg‘s short-lived reality show Father Hood back in 2007? No? It was a good episode. Snoop wanted Beckham to teach his kids how to play soccer. Anyway. Apparently the two have kept up a friendship of sorts and now the rapper wants to team up with the footballer on a line of baby clothes.

“I’d love to do a Babygro range and baby house shoes with Beckham,” Snoop told the UK’s the Daily Mirror (though we doubt he actually said Babygro as that’s a British-ism–we call it a onesie). “It’s going to be fly. It’s great news they are having a baby.”

Victoria Beckham has always been the only designer in the family–despite rumors that her husband was getting into the rag trade.

In honor of bridal fashion week, designer Lela Rose has been kind enough to answer your wedding day style questions.

Dear Lela,

I have a question…it’s actually about what to wear to a wedding: I have a wedding to attend in July in upper Wisconsin. I will be either nine months pregnant or recently a new mommy. What would be chic, comfortable, and something that will not say “Come touch my belly” in either scenario? I have a petite and slender frame, any ideas?

For fall, Nomia designer Yara Flinn looked east for inspiration. Far east. Citing traditional Japanese armor as her jumping off point, Flinn created a collection that combines rigid construction with Flinn’s signature easy draping and cuts.

OK, Toletta, we’ll bite. Toletta, a Canadian company that manufactures “luxury paper toilet seat covers” that you can carry in your purse for when you encounter a particularly terrifying public toilet, is drumming up press with a dress they commissioned designer Laura Dreger to make using only Tolettas. 520 toilet seat covers and 100 hours later, she came up with this dress, which is being billed as “the world’s first couture paper dress from disposable toilet seat covers.” Hey, everyone’s gotta start somewhere. “When the idea was presented to me I said yes because I knew it would be fun and unique,” Dreger said in a release. “Besides, it’s not every day that I get to be the first in the world to make a paper dress from disposable toilet seat covers.” So true.

We’ve seen dresses made out of legos, leaves, and toilet paper, but never toilet seat covers! Click through for more images of the “first couture paper dress” made from toilet seat covers.

There’s no doubt Brood designer Serkan Sarier is beloved by the fashion crowd. With past gigs at Emanuel Ungaro, Giambattista Valli and Haider Ackermann, the Antwerp grad also happens to call Vera Wang a friend. Indeed, we witnessed Wang running around at last week’s Brood presentation in Chelsea, asking an assistant to snap pictures of her amongst the dresses. We spotted plenty of other luminaries, too, including Wang creative director Michelle Kessler.

Yet Sarier, who was born in Germany to Turkish parents, has the chops to back up his buzz. Not only did Barneys New York pick up Spring 2011–his first collection–but fall’s showing was even stronger. The blend of autumnal colors and couture-inspired shapes makes Brood Fall 2011 a can’t-miss.

We recently caught up with Sarier to discuss the fall collection.

D&G Heart the Biebs: Dolce & Gabbana, Justin Bieber’s favorite red carpet designers, threw a party for the tween icon after his concert in Milan. “It might be slightly premature to talk about a style icon, but it’s impossible to deny that he’s a model for his peers,” said Domenico Dolce. {Telegraph}

Santa Beckham Not Claus: Victoria Beckham is reportedly “keen on” Santa for the name of her first daughter, due this summer. As in, Santa Monica, not Claus. Not sure the kids on the playground will understand the difference. A rep for Beckham denied the report to Vogue UK. {Metro UK}
