Coachella may be a music festival, but for many the real action happens outside the concert grounds at the handful of star-studded parties in and around Palm Springs.

AllSaints kicked things off Friday night with the official Kings of Leon after party at the Jackalope Ranch–a massive estate complete with waterfalls, fire pit and a large outdoor bar, not to mention a huge selection of food which we happily chowed down on when we weren’t too busy staring at a gorgeously tanned Kate Bosworth and impossibly hot Alex Skarsgard (couples this good looking should be illegal).

The next morning, lest we tire of the free booze and bevy of bohemian-chic party-goers, Mulberry kept the festivities going with with a poolside BBQ at the Parker House. True to form, Mulberry decked their digs out with signature whimsy: Toadstools and trees dotted the deck, and colorful beach balls bobbed in the water, while a huge, gold inflatable version of their Bayswater bag stole the show–quite the feat with celebrities like Nicole Richie, Alexa Chung and Camilla Belle in attendance. Sipping refreshing lemonade from the brand’s adorable stand, and grooving to tunes by DJs Andrew Bevan (Style Features Editor at Teen Vogue) and Karlsson and Winnberg (of Miike Snow), it was almost tempting to while away the whole afternoon chez Mulberry, and forget about this music festival business.
