Rumor: Kate Middleton Has Three Wedding Dresses in the Works, Jasper Conran is One of the Designers
By Lauren Sherman
Although we’re still hoping that soon-to-be princess Kate Middleton will be wearing McQueen down the aisle on April 29, new rumors have surfaced to the contrary.
FashionEtc reports that British designer Jasper Conran is the man behind the royal wedding dress.
Conran, who shows at London Fashion Week, is probably best-known for his conservative–but not too fuddy-duddy–ready to wear.
Middleton is also rumored to have two backup dresses in case the favorite is “correctly leaked.” It’s hard for us to believe a press rumor would stop a bride from wearing her dream dress, but then again, we’re not getting married in front of millions of people.
Click through for a gallery of Conran’s most recent bridal collection (which, by the way, has been mysteriously removed from his website).
