Sneak Peek: ASOS Fall 2011

ASOS and its affordable, adorable, perfectly on-trend offerings has made believers out of fashion lovers on this side of the pond, and we’re no exception. And after leaving the fall 2011 presentation yesterday, we wanted to skip spring altogether and go right to fall. Almost.

There are several distinct collections at ASOS for fall, each with its own vibe and price point. The Black and White collections are the most high-end, with prices ranging from $200-$400. Black skews evening, with elaborate laser-cut neoprene dresses and slick metallic pants, while White is dressy daytime.

The Revive line offers a vintage point of view, and it’s very Ashishian, with tons and tons of sequins. Tribal, ethnic, and prairie elements are all here in the main line, as well as 60s and 70s silhouettes. Colorful patterned knits with quirky patterns are perfect for tossing on over everything.

The collection is rounded out by lush jewel-toned coats and a small capsule Africa collection; fabric is sourced in Europe but the garments are manufactured in Africa.

Accessories, especially jewelry, are not demure. Ten inch long tasseled earrings, enormous jeweled cross pendants, and heavy neon paint-spattered cuffs are not for shrinking violets. Color blocked stacked heels and bright bags in green, orange, and blue will perk up a dreary winter day.

In the meantime, we’ll just go shop their spring collection.
