Storied Swiss leather goods label Bally turns a whopping 160-years-old this year.

To celebrate, creative directors Michael Herz and Graeme Fidler have cobbled together a collection of preppy classics with a decidedly directional twist. (We’re obsessed with the Baeza heels, at left.) “The challenge for us has been to evolve Bally as a truly relevant, global luxury brand. But to have that opportunity as the brand marks 160 years of excellence is a great privilege,” Herz and Fidler said in a statement. “We are committed to defining the future with not only contemporary collections, but also making Bally’s craftsmanship visible in fresh, modern ways.”

Well, they certainly succeeded with this fine collection (set to hit stores in September). We’re particularly fond of the touches of broguing, which is prevalent in both the men’s and women’s pieces. Click through to see our favorite looks from the women’s offerings.

Bally is Swiss, not Italian, just FYI. :)

ah yes, they show in Milan so i wasn’t thinking–thanks!

Good that the brand is trying to move on fashion wise, but they still look fairly conservative and a bit boring to me.
