Passover, which started last night, isn't the sort of holiday that has even the remotest of ties to fashion or style (even Rachel Zoe's Seder had literally nothing to do with fashion). Matzoh is maybe the opposite of sexy--it tastes like cardboard and is constipating. Nevertheless, a pitch just landed in our inbox, subject: "Four Tips to Add Fab Fashion to Your Passover Sedar [sic]."
Want to know what they are? (You so do, don't lie). The "tips" are actually just four variations of a very expensive yarmulke. According to the release, a jewelry company called young & ng has created "yarmulke crowns" that come in gold and gunmetal for $1,285. If you want to add some bling to your Seder, there's a version in gold with red Swarovski crystals for $1,495. And if you want to go all high fashion editorial while you're singing Dayenu and remembering the Exodus, the "yarmulke crown" (on young & ng's site the piece is called a "Yamaka crown") can also be worn slightly askew a la Vogue Japan.
Take a look.
