My Favorite Beauty Products: US Weekly's Gwen Flamberg

Admit it. You love US Weekly. So do I. So much so that I stopped saying, “Oh, I only read it at the nail salon,” and actually got a subscription delivered to my home. For this edition of “My Favorite Beauty Products” Gwen Flamberg, the beauty director at US Weekly, was kind enough to share her picks with us. Before US, Gwen wrote about beauty at the Ladies’ Home Journal and Fitness, and has worked with The Today Show, Good Morning America, Extra, and E!News. (We’re sure she has some interesting celeb tales to tell.) Here are her picks:

Here are her picks:

Sonya Dakar Eyeposuction Eye Cream: "The last time I was in LA, Sonya Dakar gave me one of her renowned facials, then put me on a product regimen. This eye treatment is the best I’ve ever used. It miraculously depuffs bags and smoothes crows feet in under a minute. Now I have panic attacks when I run out!"

Guerlain Super Aqua-Mask: "You won’t win a beauty contest while wearing one of these gel-soaked cloth masks, but just wait till you remove it! The soothing gel calms and cools skin while plumping up any little lines you may have--perfect before a big event or after a rough night. At work, I’m notorious for wearing one the morning after Oscars, when I’ve slept in the office!"

MAC Haute & Naughty Mascara: "Maybe it’s the old-school hot-pink capped tube or maybe it’s because just a few swipes give me long, separated, intense black lashes that somehow look curled though I never use an eyelash curler."

Fresh Brown Sugar Lip Scrub: "Everyone’s got a beauty pet peeve and mine is flaky lips, which just wreck the look of whatever color you put on them. This cool scrub smoothes and plumps up lips in seconds and it tastes delish, too!"

NARS Lipglosses in Babe and Bad Education: "A good gloss will ALWAYS have a place in my purse. NARS’ have the perfect level of shine and pigment. Right now I’m obsessed with Babe, a hot orange, and Bad Education, a sheer cherry."

Living Proof Straight Spray: "I’m obsessed with this unbelievable lightweight hairstyling product that you apply like an aerosol hairspray. I spray it on wet hair fresh out of the shower, then give myself a Gisele-inspired beachy-wavy blowout. It gives amazing, lasting texture without gooping up hair. {Ed. Note: Totally agree. Product of the year.}?

Tracie Martyn Resculpting Body Cream: "Not that I have any cellulite (I mean…who does?), but wherever my super pale skin looks a little less-than-firm I apply this amazing moisturizer. It sleekifies everything, and smells heavenly too."
