Gilt Groupe just announced what will quite possibly be its biggest sale ever: a Lady Gaga extravaganza. On Friday at noon, you’ll be able to log on to Gilt as well as Gilt City and scoop up seven different Lady Gaga-themed offerings: pre-orders on her new album Born This Way, two fashion sales formulated by her fashion director, Nicola Formichetti, a one-of-a-kind Mugler dress worn by Gaga, and VIP access to special events and “experiences” connected to the world of Gaga. (These include everything from classes at Broadway Dance Theater to Gaga listening parties in New York, Miami, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.)

If you’re kind of freaking out, you might want to watch this video with Formichetti. Not only is he charming and so sweet about his partnership with Gaga, he also reveals that he has his eye on designing his own collection. (Remember, he’s the creative director at Mugler–women’s designer Sebastian Peigne is actually coming up with the clothes.)

To shop the sale Friday at noon EST, visit www.gilt.com/ladygaga.

Derek Lam just launched his five-dress collection for eBay, so he’s no stranger to the concept of a diffusion line. And indeed, his company’s CEO Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann told WWD, “We have been waiting for this for a long time.” The time is now.

The diffusion line, 10 Crosby Derek Lam, is named after the address of his corporate office. And as the name suggests, the collection will have a more downtown, casual feel than his eponymous line.

Celine Kaplan is one of those French women who seems incredibly perfect and intimidating from afar. (I mean, did you SEE her closet on the The Coveteur???) When you do meet her, she’s still incredibly perfect, but also incredibly kind and a joy to be around. Ahh, the French.

Anyway, when I finally got a chance to know Celine while interviewing one of her clients–Laure from The Webster–I soon realized that she’d be the topic of my next Life With column. Celine’s been doing PR for Bourjois and Eres (both owned by Chanel) for over a decade. That was, until the last year when Bourjois stopped distributing their makeup in the US. She still heads up the Eres US PR efforts, and has brought on some other clients you just might be interested in, including The Webster and…wait for it…Laduree! which is planning on opening up shop in America sooner than later.

Almost out of nowhere, Celine acquired her very own boutique firm, CKPR public relations. She and I recently sat down at Balthazaar–yes, even French people like it there–to chat about the industry, what it’s like to be a high power PR, and why the only secret to getting what you want is hard work.

We got to preview Madewell’s fall collection a month ago and now we can finally show you why we were craving the cold. Here is the brand’s full perfectly disheveled layer-tastic English prep school-esque collection for fall. There are some girly-er items too–pleated skirts and maxis but paired with tough worn-in brown leather belts and thick blazers. And there’s good news for your white jeans, too: if Madewell has anything to do with it, you’ll be wearing them right through summer into fall.

Last week HSN threw a big shindig to highlight a bunch of its beauty brands, and many of the entrepreneurs and personalities themselves were in attendance. We made a beeline for Deborah Lippmann and her glittering, pearly collection of tantalizing little nail polish bottles. She was kind enough to chat with us for quite a while, and here’s what we learned:

Since the launch of his eponymous women’s label in 1998, Yigal Azrouël has opened a flagship boutique, launched a men’s line, introduced accessories and developed the contemporary label Cut25. Yet between all of these projects, the dashing designer always manages to stay calm, cool, and collected. Last week was no different as Azrouël welcomed party goers into his meatpacking district boutique for a special shopping event, co-hosted by Rent the Runway.

We got a chance to chat with the man behind the brand–clad in his uniform of a leather motorcycle jacket with jeans and a t-shirt–about his particular road to success.

Every top model has taken a tumble down the runway–it’s a right of passage. Yesterday, at Naomi Campbell‘s Fashion for Relief show in Cannes, it was Lindsey Wixson‘s turn to take a memorable spill.

The 17-year-old model of the moment wiped out three times at Campbell’s charity fashion show, this installment to benefit Japan. And like a true top model, she took it in stride and kept a smile plastered across her face. But Wixson wasn’t the only one to take a fall–two other catwalkers stumbled, too.

Wixson et al. are not the first models to take show stopping falls at one of Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief shows. At Campbell’s charity show to benefit Haiti during NYFW in February 2010, Agyness Deyn fell twice and eventually took off her shoes and walked the rest of the runway barefoot.

Take a look at Wixson’s wipe out, frame by frame, as well as a video of her epic fall, courtesy of some show called “Showbiz 411,” via the Daily Mail.
