It's a lot of money for hat that a lot of people thought was ridiculous. Bea's hat caused nearly as much of a fuss as Kate Middleton's wedding dress or Pippa Middleton's bum. It prompted the creation of countless Facebook pages from "Princess Beatrice's ridiculous Royal Wedding hat" which has 143,609 likes to "Princess Beatrice's hat looks like a uterus" with 930 likes.

To her credit, Princess Beatrice remained unfazed by the mostly negative attention her hat garnered, and had the wherewithal to make some money off of it for charity. "I've been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted," Bea wrote on her eBay auction page. "It's a wonderful opportunity to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic charities. I hope the winner of the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have."

But Bea isn't the only one to have had fun with her hat. The internet's had quite a lot of fun with it too, as it became a popular meme wherein the infamous hat was photoshopped on everyone in the now-iconic "situation room" photo, or was photoshopped to look like a cat was jumping out of it (obviously, my personal favorite). Take a look at the various, hilarious, photoshopped images Bea's hat inspired.
